1. What is alternating current?

The magnitude and direction of the current that changes with time is called alternating current. The electricity we use in our daily life is alternating current.


Second, what is direct current?

The magnitude of the DC current is generally stable, and there is no change in direction. The DC power supply is generally a stable current, such as battery power or AC power after rectification and filtering.


3. What is a DC governor (DC brush motor governor, DC motor governor, DC motor governor)

An electronic device that can drive and control the speed of a brushed DC motor is called a DC governor.

DC governors are divided into: thyristor chopper type (SCR) and pulse width modulation type (PWM)

1. Thyristor type DC governor

Advantages: low cost, easy to achieve high voltage, high power, good anti-interference performance, good impact resistance, low requirements for the use environment.

Disadvantages: low speed regulation accuracy, high noise

Scope of application: It is suitable for mechanical equipment with large starting and running torque and continuous operation, such as machine tools, drilling machines, grinding machines of machining equipment, continuous production equipment and equipment that does not require high precision.

2. What is Pulse Width Modulation (PWM)

Advantages: high speed regulation accuracy, low motor running noise, high efficiency, wide speed regulation range, small motor running sparks (can prolong the service life of the motor), etc.

Disadvantages: poor impact resistance, large heat generation, large interference, large volume, not suitable for high power, and high requirements for the use environment.


Fourth, what is a servo controller (or called a servo control system) -------- Abbreviation: servo

Usually refers to: can accurately position or run according to the received command.

The speed control precision of the servo controller is high, the function is powerful, and the protection measures are complete. The servo controller must have speed closed-loop (tachogenerator or encoder feedback) and current closed-loop control.

Servo controller is divided into: DC brush servo, DC brushless servo and AC servo

DC brush servo: refers to a system device that can drive and control the speed of a brush motor (a tachogenerator or encoder must be provided on the rear axle of the motor), called: DC brush servo.

DC brushless servo: refers to a system device that can drive and control the speed of a brushless motor (with an encoder on the rear shaft of the motor), called: DC brushless servo.
